New northwest Edmonton charter school aims to eliminate socio-economic opportunity barriers for students. (That's us!)

As part of the requirements for Alberta charter schools, Thrive will enhance its kindergarten-to-Grade 6 curriculum with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) pathways "as well as covering those barriers that families deal with every day in terms of getting their kids to school, feeding them and extracurricular activities," said Michael Hladun, vice-chair of the Thrive Charter School Society.

Thrive School is a public charter school. Our focus is on academic achievement, holistic well-being and enriched STEM learning. Yellow bus service, meals and after-school activities are all provided. Thrive School is free to families. No tuition, no school fees and no extra costs.

Thrive School is located in amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton) on the traditional lands, known as Treaty 6 Territory and the homeland of Métis Region #4.
